What We Do

The MCPASD Education Foundation raises funds to augment programs and activities provided by the district. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2011.

Our mission
To provide inspiring experiences for our students now, and for decades to come, through teacher innovation grants, student scholarships and a growing endowment.

Our approach
We support the district’s efforts to improve student achievement across all demographic groups by focusing on equitable practices – the heart of an inclusive, innovative and inspiring learning community.

Our 2018-19 focus areas
The MCPASD referendum passed in November 2018, and now we are excited to build on the strong momentum in the district and community!

The 2018 referendum enables the district to increase capacity and upgrade facilities, giving all schools the physical space to support innovative learning. However, there’s much more work to be done.

That’s why we’re focusing on expanding innovation grants to teachers and staff, further growing the endowment and funding initiatives including:

  1. Grow Your Own: Work to increase the number of teachers of color in the district
  2. High School Summer Equity Institute: Fund participation for students in this national program
  3. Performing Arts: Provide performing arts experiences to students and increase participation by underrepresented groups
