Help Support

Help support MCPASD staff and students through a charitable contribution!
We are a 501c3 organization, which means your contribution may be tax deductible. You can donate directly to the foundation, or to one of the programs the foundation assists by collecting and passing along contributions.

Email Amber Kiggens-Leifheit, executive director, at akiggens-leifheit@mcpasd.k12.wi.us for more on ways you can give. Thank you.

01. Annual Campaign

Each year, our annual giving campaign enables us to fulfill our mission of providing inspiring experiences for our students now, and for decades to come, through teacher innovation grants, student scholarships and a growing endowment.

Our 2020-2021 annual campaign focuses on supporting students’ basic needs in these uncertain times. Our No. 1 priority is providing meals and personal hygiene supplies for students in need. It may take at least $80,000 to continue funding these efforts.

02. Donate Stock

We would be happy to discuss any gift options you may be considering. If you’re considering donating all or some of a stock, we would greatly appreciate your support – and such a contribution may enable you to realize substantial tax savings.
Email Amber Kiggens-Leifheit, executive director, at amber@mcpasdfoundation.org for details on how to make a stock donation.

03. Estate Planning

A planned gift to the Education Foundation leaves a long-lasting legacy for the students of the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District.  There are many ways to leave such a gift, including as a bequest to the Foundation in your will or trust, or designating the Foundation as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of a retirement plan, insurance policy or other asset.

Please contact your attorney or estate planner to make arrangements for a planned gift.  If you are looking for an attorney, you can contact the Middleton Chamber of Commerce or the State Bar of Wisconsin.  The Education Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

If you decide to include the Foundation in your planned giving, please let us know via this confidential Letter of Understanding.  Sending us this document outlines the impact you plan to make through your gift.  Your letter is not legally binding, and you may choose to change your designations at any time in the future.

Why I Give

Ellen Lindgren

I believe that students in the MCPASD have great opportunities. We have excellent educators and administrators, and everyone—cooks, bus drivers, custodians, assistants–all are focused on building relationships with our kids and creating community that is supportive and has high expectations for everyone. The Education Foundation remains focused on trying to create more opportunities, especially for students coming into our schools without the means for enrichment. The Foundation tries to balance the scales, and supplement in areas the district just doesn’t have the means to do so.

Todd Smith and Jill Bradshaw

Jill and I donate to the MCPASD Education Foundation every year because we appreciate the opportunity to support creative and innovative classroom learning that requires funding beyond what the district can provide.  Supporting the Foundation is also important to us as our district continues to work toward closing the opportunity gap and recruit a more diverse workforce.  We are proud supporters of the Foundation and will be for many years to come!

Paul Kinne (Middleton Endowment)

The Middleton Endowment’s goal is to enhance the quality of life in the Middleton area for present and future generations.  There is no better way to achieve that goal than to give toward supporting and enhancing the education of Middleton’s youth.  The Middleton Education Foundation does great and important work, and the Middleton Endowment is honored to be able to contribute toward its success.

Contributions and Tax Implications
