Amber Kiggens-Leifheit

Amber Kiggens-Leifheit joined the Education Foundation on Jan. 6, 2020.

Prior to joining the Education Foundation, Amber served as executive director of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation for 11 years. She was responsible for all areas of the Foundation, including gifts, grants, scholarships, public relations, donor relations, accounting oversight and office management. During her tenure, she grew the Foundation’s assets from $2.8 to $16.2 million.

Amber also served on the Marshfield district’s school board for nine years, including in the roles of vice president and treasurer. In addition, she has served in leadership positions and volunteered in long-term with multiple nonprofits, including the Marshfield Community Athletics Leadership Team and the Marshfield Area United Way. She earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison.


(Treasurer), MBA, CPA (inactive) worked in accounting financial reporting for a variety of entities, both for-profit and not-for profit. Laura and her husband, Richard, moved to Middleton in 2015 and have two girls that attend Elm Lawn Elementary. 

Sreenivas Gouraram

is a director of Application Development at CNA Insurance. He and his wife, Deepa, have lived in the district since 2015, and both of their children attend MCPASD schools.

Carrie Brooker

is a communications consultant and writer. She lives in Middleton with her husband, Tom Hunter, and their two sons, who attend Kromrey.

Carl Frederick

is a research analyst at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. He came to Wisconsin to earn his PhD in sociology at UW-Madison with a focus on inequality and civic outcomes of education. Upon graduation, he and his wife decided that Middleton was too nice a place to leave. His wife is a proud alumna of MCPASD schools and their two daughters are current or future MCPASD students. Carl is also an active volunteer for the Coach Sauer Foundation.

Dana Monogue

is the Superintendent of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.  She began serving the District in 2019.

Kristin Jungbluth

has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and retired from a corporate career in Product Management & Development. She has been involved in nonprofit development and fundraising efforts for many organizations in the last 15 years. Kristin and her husband Eric live in Middleton where their two children attend MCPASD schools.

Sean Hyland

 is a member of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Board of Education.  Sean is a Facilities Program Administrator at American Family Insurance.

Luke Fuszard

is a Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at Artemis Health, a Big Data health tech company. He and his wife Abbey are proud parents of two children matriculating through the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District. Luke also serves as the Alder for District Five on the Middleton Common Council.

Linda Passaglia

is an audit partner with RSM US LLP, a CPA firm in Madison. She and her husband, Mark, live with their two sons in the district. They moved from Chicagoland five years ago

Kathryn McLeod

Kathryn’s professional background is focused on helping employers in offering health insurance to their employees. She has held leadership positions in sales, account management, product development and marketing. Kathryn has lived in Middleton since 2013 with her husband Doug, their Kromrey Cougar son, and three step-sons who are all Middleton graduates.

Michelle Larson

is a communication strategist with CUNA Mutual Group. She and her husband, Kyle, have lived in Middleton since 2000 and have had two children attend District schools.

Kieran Furlong

is father to two children attending Elm Lawn. Originally from Ireland, Kieran and his wife chose to live in Middleton because of the great reputation of the MCPASD schools. Kieran is a chemical engineer by training and after an initial international career in the chemical industry, he moved on to start-ups and venture capital. He currently mentors aspiring entrepreneurs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a venture partner with a California-based investment firm.

Perry Hibner

is the Director of Communications for the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. Before that, he worked for nearly 25 years with the Wisconsin State Journal, the second-largest newspaper in the state. He and his wife, Sheila, live in Middleton and have had three children attend District schools.


is an attorney with the law firm of Nilan Johnson Lewis, headquartered in Minneapolis, with a concentration in labor and employment litigation. Courtney and her family moved to Middleton in 2011 primarily because of the high quality schools.  She has two daughters, who attend Kromrey Middle School and Middleton High School.

Melissa Simon

(Vice-Chair) works at UW-Madison in the Office of Business Engagement (OBE). As an avid Badger alum, Melissa uses her passion and expertise to build mutually beneficial relationships between companies and the university. Prior to joining UW, Melissa worked in career services and recruitment. A Middleton High School graduate, Melissa and her husband (an MHS alum, as well) currently reside in Middleton with their three girls. Two of their girls attend district schools and the youngest is enrolled for fall.

Dan Gibson

is a Principal with SVA Wealth Management. He has provided comprehensive financial planning and investment management services for SVA Financial Group clients since 1998. He’s a Middleton High School alum (class of 1990).

Simrnjit Seerha

(sim-rin-jeet seer-ha) is a recent addition on the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District School Board. She works as a manager at Just In Time Machine Corporation. She is also the founder of Baavo Wellness, a health and beauty company. Simrnjit is a lifelong resident of Middleton and looks forward to supporting the Foundation’s work.
