Personal Hygiene Items: Demand Is 50% More Than Expected

Dear MCPASD Families,

We hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy.

We’re following up on our fundraiser for personal hygiene items as MCPASD social workers are reporting 50% more demand than expected.

The district held the first distribution for students in need on April 20. Social workers had boxes of supplies – such as toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, tampons and laundry detergent – for 200 students. Unfortunately, social workers had to turn away about 100 students because supplies ran out.

We’re reaching out to see if you’re able to contribute to fulfill a growing need in our district. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover more students on the three remaining distribution dates: May 4 and 18, and June 1.

It cost approximately $5,000 to purchase supplies for 200 students. With more district families struggling financially due to COVID-19, we anticipate serving 300 students or more during the remaining distribution dates.

Please consider donating to help ensure that every MCPASD student who needs supplies gets them.

Check to see if your employer is among the companies matching employee contributions to charitable causes related to COVID-19. MCPASD Education Foundation is a qualified 501c3 (Tax ID: 47-5618597).

Our sincere thanks for your support of MCPASD students who need help the most.
