Helping MCPASD Students in Need: Personal Hygiene Products

Message from Purna Byraiah, Education Foundation Board Chair

Dear MCPASD Families,

We hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy.

This week, MCPASD social workers contacted the Education Foundation about supporting students in need with personal hygiene products. We’re reaching out to see if you are able to contribute to our efforts to fulfill these needs.

Personal Hygiene Products

MCPASD social workers estimate that about 500 children need items including toilet paper, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, dish soap, and laundry detergent, among others. If we can raise funds to purchase supplies, social workers would serve students by distributing items twice a month through June. The set-up would be similar to the Weekend Food Program, with volunteers packaging items centrally and distributing them at our nine sites across the district. Social workers will coordinate with other local nonprofits to leverage their buying power and access to these items.

Your donation would go toward purchasing personal hygiene supplies.

How to Help

Our goal is raise $15,000 for this effort. Please consider donating to help MCPASD students in need.

Please check to see if your employer is among the local companies matching employee contributions to charitable causes related to COVID-19. MCPASD Education Foundation is a qualified 501c3 (Tax ID: 47-5618597).
